Michael leads Tidemark’s ecosystem efforts and is a member of the investment team. Prior to joining Tidemark, he was a Business Lead at GlossGenius, a leading vertical software platform focused on the beauty and wellness industry, where he led fintech product expansion, directed user growth initiatives, and scaled risk & fraud infrastructure. Prior to that, Michael was an early employee and Chief of Staff at Check, a leading embedded payroll platform. Michael also was a Scout for Susa Ventures and a Venture Partner at Contrary. He started his career at Goldman Sachs within their Investment Banking Group in New York.
Michael graduated with High Distinction from Duke with degrees in Statistics and Economics, where he served as a student representative and full voting member on Duke’s Board of Trustees finance & resources committee. Outside of work, Michael is a huge Bay Area and Duke sports fan, as well as an avid tennis player. He’s also an avid reader and writer, having once authored a #1 Amazon Bestseller on AI.
