Matt is the former Head of Product Commercialization at Toast where he managed labor-focused products such as Scheduling, HR, Benefits, and Insurance, and led growth for many of Toast’s expansion products. Previously he led Toast’s Corp Dev and Strategy functions and helped launch and scale over 15 products that transformed Toast from a category-leading POS player into a broader platform (growing from $50m to $1B+ in ARR and doubling ARPU in his 5 years there).
Prior to Toast, Matt had a brief stint as an investor at Silversmith focused on growth-stage B2B SaaS and Fintech where he invested in companies such as Webflow, and before that he was a consultant at BCG. He began his career as a structural engineer but eventually realized building a business was a lot more fun than building actual buildings.
Matt graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Matt currently lives in France with his wife where he is attempting to learn French and start a church.
